Das Parfum

So, I finally have a chance to breath and regail you with the tales of the week.
On Tuesday we went to the cinema to watch 'Das Parfum: Die Geschicte eines Moerders' (Perfume: a story of a murderer). It has been an incredibly popular film here, based on a very famous book. Not sure if it is being shown elsewhere around the world?
Though it was in German I followed it fine and really enjoyed it. The storyline is basically that a young man, gifted with an incredible sense of smell, makes it his life's mission to capture the scent of a woman. To do this he has to kill a few ladies and cover them in what looks like lard to extract the smell. It was a bit dark at times and the orgy at the end was a bit weird but it was a very visually powerful film. Was a bit strange to see Dennis Hoffman and Alan Rickman speaking Deutsch though.
